What is USU to you?
USU to you is a delivery catering service brand owned and operated by USyd Student Union Ltd, created to make catering easier for meetings, office lunches, workshops, events and social gatherings.

We offer convenient delivery-style catering boxes and packages, proudly prepared by the team behind HostCo.

Is USU to you part of HostCo?
Yes. USU to you is powered by the HostCo team and operated by USyd Student Union Ltd. While HostCo focuses on premium venue hire and event catering, USU to you is designed for simple, sustainable, reliable delivery catering.

Who can order from USU to you?
USU to you is available for University of Sydney staff, departments, clubs and societies, as well as businesses and offices within our delivery areas.

How does ordering from USU to you support students?
USU to you is operated by USyd Student Union Ltd, a student-focused not-for-profit organisation. Every order helps support student life, with proceeds reinvested into USU programs, services, events and experiences for the University of Sydney community.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?
USU to you delivers across selected areas of Sydney, including the University of Sydney Darlington campus and nearby suburbs.

Delivery availability may depend on your location, order size, delivery time and our delivery schedule.

Do you deliver to offices outside the University of Sydney?
Yes, where your office is located within our delivery area. Delivery fees and availability may vary depending on distance, timing and order size.

What delivery details do I need to provide?
Please provide accurate delivery details, including:

  • delivery address (building name, level and room number if applicable)
  • contact person
  • phone number
  • delivery date and time (please leave a 30min window)
  • access instructions (security sign-in or lift access if applicable)
  • parking or loading dock information

This helps our delivery team plan ahead and avoid delays.

What happens if the delivery address or access details changes?
If your delivery address or access details change, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll make reasonable efforts to update your delivery details where possible. If we’re unable to complete delivery due to incorrect details, restricted access, no available contact person or missing delivery instructions, additional fees may apply.

    Can I choose a specific delivery time?
    You can select from available delivery time when placing your order. We will take reasonable steps to deliver within your confirmed window (usually 30mins), but delivery times may be affected by traffic, weather, campus access, building access or other circumstances outside our control.

    Can I pick up my order instead?
    Pick-up may be available for selected orders or locations. If pick-up is available, this will be shown on the website or confirmed by our team.

    How are delivery fees calculated?
    Delivery fees are calculated based on your delivery postcode and the applicable delivery zone. Delivery availability, fees and minimum order requirements will be shown on the website or at checkout.

    What if my location is outside the delivery zone?
    If delivery is not currently available for your location, please contact us for a tailored quote. We may still be able to assist depending on your order size, delivery date and location.

    Food and menu

    What kind of catering do you offer?
    USU to you offers convenient catering boxes and packages suitable for meetings, office lunches, workshops, events and group gatherings.

    This may include breakfast boxes, morning tea, lunch boxes, finger food, grazing-style options, sweets, drinks and seasonal catering options.

    Are your menus seasonal?
    Some menu items may change seasonally depending on ingredient availability and product updates. We may also update our menus from time to time to keep the offering fresh and suitable for different events.

    Can I customise my order?
    Some customisations may be available depending on the dietary requirements and notice period. Please include your request in the comment when placing your order or contact our team before ordering.

    Can I order individual boxes for each guest?
    Yes, where individual boxes are available on the menu. These are a great option for meetings, staff lunches, workshops and events where easy distribution is preferred.

    Dietary requirements and allergies

    What dietary requirements can you cater for?
    Available options may include vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, nut free or halal-friendly items, depending on the menu and availability.

    How do I provide dietary requirements?
    Each box specifies the dietary, however if you have special requests, please include it in the comment when placing your order. For larger or more complex orders, we recommend contacting our team before ordering.

    Can you guarantee allergen-free food?
    While we take reasonable care when preparing dietary items, food may be prepared in kitchens where allergens are present. We cannot guarantee that any item will be completely free from traces of allergens.

    Customers with serious allergies should contact us before placing an order.

    Payment and invoices

    How do I pay for my order?
    Payment can be made through the payment options available on the USU to you website. Your order may not be confirmed or processed until payment has been received.

    What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept online payments by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal, subject to the payment options available at checkout.

    Are prices GST inclusive?
    Yes, prices are listed in Australian dollars and include GST, unless otherwise stated.

    Will I receive a receipt or tax invoice?
    Yes. You should receive an order confirmation and/or receipt after completing your order. If you require a tax invoice, please contact us.

    Can I use AfterPay for payment?
    Afterpay is not currently available for USU to you orders. We accept credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through our online checkout.

    Ordering

    How do I place an order?
    Orders can be placed through the USU to you website. Simply select your catering boxes, choose your delivery date and time, enter your delivery details and complete payment at checkout.

    How much notice do I need to give?
    We recommend placing your order as early as possible to secure availability. Some items may require a minimum notice period due to preparation time, supplier availability and delivery scheduling.

    Can I place a last-minute order?
    We’ll always do our best to help, but last-minute orders are subject to availability. If your preferred date or time is not available online (not showing in the booking calendar), please contact us and we’ll let you know what is possible.

    Is there a minimum order amount?
    Minimum order requirements may apply depending on your delivery location, order type and delivery date. Any minimum spend will be shown on the website or confirmed before your order is finalised.

     

    Changes and cancellations

    Can I change my order after placing it?
    We’ll make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes where possible, provided you notify us at least 3 business days before your delivery date. However, changes may not be possible once preparation, production, delivery planning or supplier commitments have commenced.

    Can I cancel my order?
    You may request to cancel your order by contacting us as soon as possible, with a minimum of 3 business days’ notice required. Cancellation fees may apply to cover reasonable costs already incurred by USU to you, including food, labour, supplier costs, delivery arrangements and administration. In certain circumstances, and at the discretion of the USU to you team, we may offer store credit for an agreed period instead of a refund.

    Can I return my order?
    Due to the nature of fresh food and catering items, we’re generally unable to accept returns once an order has been prepared, dispatched or delivered. If something isn’t right with your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.
